SALSA BACHATA SUNDAYS: LIVE MUSIC CONCERTS
Aico Simon is a Japanese singer-songwriter, producer and entrepreneur based in Southern California who has collaborated with artists from the United States, Cuba, Mexico and Japan. She has performed nationally and internationally at various music festivals, night clubs and events. She has performed more than 350 shows at venues such as The Granada LA, The San Diego Cuban Salsa Congress, Gator By The Bay and many local bars and restaurants. Aico also served as the lead vocalist in the Latin Grammy nominated Manny Cepeda Orchestra for over 8 years. Aico believes that in every one of her musical presentations, she is planting a seed of happiness into the hearts of every listener.Inspired by artists such as Omara Portuondo, Celia Cruz, Buena Vista Social Club, Namie Amuro and others, her music connects with audiences across all borders. Aico’s music is a manifestation of her unique life experience; combining elements of J-Pop, Salsa, Timba, Reggaeton and traditional Cuban music into a whole new genre; one that transcends cultures around the world. Anyone who listens to her music will be deeply impressed by the love of life and the fundamental joy that is ever-present in Aico’s compositions and performances.
