Released just in time for the Labor Day weekend, this track is the perfect soundtrack for hot summer days spent hanging around in your friend's backyard or long drives up and down the coast. "Always Adored" showcases the band's unique sound, led by David Martin's compelling vocals that deliver a relatable and genuine narrative of love and regret. His lyrics capture a journey of missed opportunities and emotional turbulence: “What lies hidden underneath my breath truly speaks for itself, doesn’t bother me / Sometimes occasions show their face, unwelcomed stares they get the best of me.” The chorus captures an uneasy introspection for most, questioning whether past actions can ever truly be undone: “How to repay, now to apologize / Some words too late, some words will never die.”

Formed in San Diego, Tigers In Cairo features drummer Matt Yansch, bassist Dennis Smith, and guitarists Gavin Rhodes and Paul Skura, alongside Martin. The band’s origin story shows some of the few perks of being a part of an online generation— Gavin Rhodes, who recently came from New York, posted an ad on Craigslist in pursuit of a new musical project. He connected with Yansch, a seasoned San Diego drummer, and the rest is history. The band's name is a reference to The Cure's "Fire in Cairo," and their sonic embodiment of the fierceness of an animalistic predator. This band does a great job at creating a sound that is heavily nostalgic while still being a breath of fresh air.

With "Always Adored," Tigers In Cairo has entered the scene with a track that is both musically captivating and emotionally meaningful. Their blend of jangly and catchy guitar riffs, supportive bass lines, and driving drum parts creates a perfect backdrop for Martin’s lyrics and vocals.

Be sure to check out "Always Adored" now streaming everywhere, and keep an eye on Tigers In Cairo as they continue to carve out their space in the post-punk music landscape. This is just the beginning of a band that promises to be a new staple in the current revival of all things punk.
